ART SCRIBES AWARD 2018-19 | DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 21, 2018
Designed as a biennial art writer’s award, an eminent, rotating jury consisting of art critics and curators is assigned the task of choosing an applicant who has demonstrated sustained commitment to research, conceptual frameworks and art history in their writing practice, as the recipient of the award. This year, the recipient will be awarded a one month, all expense covered residency at Chateau La Napoule, the residency space of the La Napoule Art Foundation. This will ultimately realise in an exhibition in New Delhi.

The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation invites applications for the Inlaks Fine Art Awards 2019. The award is intended to help young artists in their formative years to develop their creative talent and provides financial assistance to enable them to work independently anywhere in India. ASIAN ART IN LONDON (AAL) | EMERGING ARTIST AWARD | DEADLINE: OCTOBER 19, 2018
The AAL Emerging Artist Award focuses on highlighting works by artists who engage with Asian culture with the aim of the linking of the present and the past - a concept central to many Asian traditions. AAL calls for entries from visual artists whose work engages with Asian culture from any period and culture from Japan to the Middle East (with the exception of Russia). The finalist will be selected by an international panel of experts.
ART THINK SOUTH ASIA FELLOWSHIP | DEADLINE: OCTOBER 31, 2018
The ARThinkSouthAsia Fellowship is designed to help develop skills, knowledge, networks and experience of potential leaders in the arts and cultural sector of South Asia. Awarding 15 Fellows across South Asia, the Fellowship includes a two‐week residential course in India in May 2019. The Fellowship is supported by Goethe-Institut, British Council, and the Piramal Art Foundation.

ART WRITER’S AWARD (AWA) 2019 | DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 1, 2018
AKE on art in collaboration with Pro Helvetia- Swiss Arts Council present the ART WRITERS’ AWARD (AWA) 2018-19. The award will identify and support one Indian writer and offer the recipient a research residency at Villa Straeuli in Switzerland for a period of upto 45 days. The selected applicant is expected to submit a research paper for publication or a proposal for a curatorial project within 3 months of the completion of the residency.

ART RESIDENCY | DEADLINE: 13 NOVEMBER, 2018
Charles Wallace India Trust and Gasworks, along with Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation, is offering a fully funded residency at Gasworks, London for an artist based in India, from 1 July – 16 September 2019. The residency focuses on self-led professional development, artistic exchange and experimentation and is open to emerging and mid-career Indian artists, under the age of 40, resident in India.

CURATORIAL RESIDENCY | DEADLINE: DECEMBER 3, 2018
The International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in Brooklyn, New York announces an open call for a residency for one curator or an artist from India sponsored by The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation. This call is open to Indian citizens, who are 35 years of age or less and have resided continuously in India for at least two years prior to the time of application. The residency will take place from March 1 to June 30, 2019.
