1.     Khoj Fellowship Program 2019

Khoj International Artists’ Association invites applications for a Fellow working in the Programme & Curatorial team for a period of 6 months, beginning in July 2019. Fellows would assist with research, planning, and facilitation of upcoming and ongoing residencies, exhibitions and projects, along with other organizational and administrative work. The Fellowship at Khoj is a full – time position (5 days a week) and is a serious opportunity for aspiring art managers and curators to work with the Khoj programme team. Fellows will receive a small stipend to support local travel and food.

Serendipity Arts Foundation is pleased to announce six grants which will be available for application in April 2019. These will offer support to individuals who need to travel to attend an artist residency; as well as go towards the creation of a new theatre piece, and towards research and documentation of projects within the visual and performing arts.

3.     Piramal Art Residency: Iterations in Wood

Deadline: 29th May
Time period: 14th June – 13th July, 2019

The Piramal Museum of Art in Thane is hosting its fully-funded three-week long Art Residency, organised around the theme, ‘Iterations in Wood.’ The residency is focusing on the woodcut printmaking, and is currently accepting applications from printmakers.


4.     Sahapedia Fellowship

Deadline: 30th June, 2019

Sahapedia has announced the third edition of its Fellowship programme, supported by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The programme facilitates documentation and critical research on a variety of subjects, which is later published on Sahapedia’s web portal. Fellowship is available in the following languages this year – English, Hindi, Bangla, Tamil, and Malayalam.
The Fellowship is available to post-graduates and above qualified in the disciplines of the Humanities and Social Sciences in the broadest sense, or those with equivalent experience.


5.     SUBMERGE: Science Gallery, Bengaluru

Deadline: 10th June, 2019

Science Gallery, Bengaluru (SGB) is seeking participatory works for its art-science exhibition, SUBMERGE, aimed at critically exploring water in contemporary artistic and scientific contexts. The open call is currently accepting transdisciplinary, mixed and multi-media proposals responding to the keywords: Hydrology, Monsoon, Bengaluru’s Water; Ecosystem; (water as) Human Right; Climate Change.

The gallery is also accepting proposals for public programmes in the lead up to and during the exhibition, which could include a film-festival, city walk, workshops, lecture/seminar series, theatre, dance, puppetry, a master class, and/or open-mics.


6.     Teaching Fellowship: ArtReach India

Deadline: 20th June, 2019

ArtReach India is inviting applications from artists to lead their fifth Teaching Fellowship, mentoring twenty students from the care home, TARA. The programme is supported by the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art. Application guidelines are available on their website.
