1. Art Scribes Award 2019 - 2020
Deadline: 31st August 2019
The Art Scribes Award is designed as a biennial art writer’s award, granted by an eminent, rotating jury consisting of art critics and curators. The recipient is chosen based on their sustained commitment to research, conceptual frameworks and art history in their writing practice. The chosen writer is awarded an international curatorial residency in partnership with our various collaborators around the world in order to help them demonstrate their critical acumen in curatorial research. This year, the recipient will be awarded a one month, all expense covered residency at Chateau La Napoule, the residency space of the La Napoule Art Foundation. This will ultimately realize in an exhibition in New Delhi.
2. Sahapedia Fellowship
Deadline: 30th June, 2019
Sahapedia has announced the third edition of its Fellowship programme, supported by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The programme facilitates documentation and critical research on a variety of subjects, which is later published on Sahapedia’s web portal. Fellowship is available in the following languages this year – English, Hindi, Bangla, Tamil, and Malayalam.
The Fellowship is available to post-graduates and above qualified in the disciplines of the Humanities and Social Sciences in the broadest sense, or those with equivalent experience.
3. Teaching Fellowship: ArtReach India
Deadline: 20th June, 2019
ArtReach India is inviting applications from artists to lead their fifth Teaching Fellowship, mentoring twenty students from the care home, TARA. The programme is supported by the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art. Application guidelines are available on their website.
4. Residency scholarships for artistic research and arts-based-philosophy: Adishakti & baseCollective
Deadline: 15th July, 2019
Collaborating with the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, the University of Applied Arts Vienna and the University of Vienna (Faculty of Philosophy and Education) and the Federal Ministery for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs (BMAI), the art factory baseCollective (Böhler/Granzer) is offering 6 residency scholarships for artistic research and arts-based-philosophy at Adishakti in South-India.
Each residency scholarship covers a 3 months stay at Adishakti in the course of our residency programme for artistic research and arts-based philosophy, starting from December 17th, 2019.
5. Fine Arts Grant: Space118, Mumbai
Deadline: 25th August, 2019
This grant programme by Space118, Mumbai is looking to support one artist with a 2 month-residency from 15th January 2019- 15th January 2020 at Space118. The grantee will receive a production grant of upto 1 lakh rupees along with a stipend and accommodation. Visit the link and their FAQ section for further details.
6. Contemporaries Residency: Space118, Mumbai
Deadline: 15th July, 2019
