OPEN CALL FOR STUDENTS' BIENNALE | Deadline: 31 July 2018

The Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art (FICA) is proud to announce the Open Call for Applications for the Students' Biennale 2018!
Organised with the Kochi Biennale Foundation and the Foundation for Indian Art and Education (FIAE), the Students’ Biennale is an exhibitory platform which runs parallel to the Kochi-Muziris Biennale. A part of the Foundation’s educational initiatives, the Students’ Biennale reaches out to state-funded art colleges across the country, to encourage young artists to reflect on their practice and exhibit on an international stage. The initiative is thus invested in using the potential of a global biennale platform to energise art schools and art production. The Students’ Biennale is supported by Tata Trusts.

OPEN CALL FOR FICA EMERGING ARTIST AWARD 2018 | Deadline: 31 August 2018

The Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art invites applications for FICA Emerging Artist Award 2018. FICA is happy to continue its collaboration with Pro Helvetia - Swiss Arts Council to provide this opportunity to young artists.  

FICA Emerging Artist Award seeks to promote young artists studying or practicing in India who demonstrate extraordinary skill and promise in the visual arts. Selected by an independent jury of distinguished artists and professionals in the field, the recipient gets the opportunity to travel and work in an international residency and the chance to showcase a body of works in an exhibition platform in New Delhi.

OPEN CALL FOR ILA DALMIA FICA RESEARCH GRANT 2018 | Deadline: 31 August 2018

Instituted by FICA with the support of art historian and curator Yashodhara Dalmia in the memory of her sister Ila Dalmia, the Grant aims to support research on Indian modern and contemporary art. The grant amount of Rs. Two Lakhs will focus on supporting an independent, year-long research project by a selected Indian applicant.
