FICA conducted a program for
children between ages 4 and 10 at
Vadehra Art Gallery centered on Atul
Dodiya’s exhibition titled Saptapadi:
Scenes from Marriage (Regardless).
In this exhibition, Dodiya’s bold
collages reference old Bollywood
posters, Indian street culture and
classical myth, artists |

| Picasso, Rene Magritte, Tyeb Mehta and
popular icons like Hillary and Bill Clinton. |

| Children explored these images and learned
collage making with magazine
cut-outs and
laminate board. They also explored the
concepts of creativity and imagination in a
reading of Peter H Reynold’s award winning
"The Dot", a children’s story of a frustrated
primary school artist. |
