| Public Art Grant 2008 |
| |
| FICA
recognizes that public art plays an
important role in involving local
communities, helping build civic pride,
improving the quality of the urban
environment, and challenging the creative
thought process. However, funding for public
art in India is severely lacking. |
| |
|
|
| The Public Art Grant seeks to generate
interest in public art projects, to
spark open debate and to engage
artists and the public to look at
our environment in different ways.
We welcome applicants working in
diverse media to apply for the
Public Art Grant 2008 with a
proposal for a project that reaches
out to a community through
contemporary visual language. The
structure of each award is based on
the winning proposal. |
